I’m Tom Nesbitt, an artist, illustrator, writer and graphic novel creator with a lifelong passion for drawing and telling stories.

For more than 40 years, I’ve worked professionally in animation, comics and illustration, developing a career built around one simple idea: good storytelling begins with good drawing.

My work has taken me through animation studios, publishing, television and independent comics, where I’ve had the opportunity to work on everything from character and background design to storyboarding, illustration and visual development. Along the way, I’ve worked with creative teams at studios around the world, including Marvel, Hanna-Barbera and Universal, as well as great Canadian studios such as Nelvana in Toronto and Big Bad Boo in Vancouver, BC, among many others.

Today, I’m putting that experience into my own work through TN COMIX, an independent publishing venture dedicated to creating and publishing original graphic novels, comic stories and illustrations.

The flagship series is GAMUT, a collection of original short stories combining science fiction, humour, adventure and the occasional dark twist. Each story is written, drawn and developed from the ground up, with an emphasis on expressive characters, imaginative worlds and traditional comic-book storytelling.

While my animation career taught me the importance of staging, pacing and visual storytelling, comics give me something different: complete creative control over the entire story. From the first thumbnail to the finished page, I get to create the characters, worlds and stories exactly as I envision them.

TN Comix is where all of those years of experience come together.

Original stories. Original artwork. No assembly line.

Welcome to TN COMIX!
